our story
Carats and confetti events was created with the belief that wedding and event planning should be a fun and exciting experience. all Too often the stress of vetting vendors, curating rentals, scouting venue locations, scheduling meetings, and fine tuning all of the various logistics that go into planning the perfect event can, frankly, suck the fun right out of it. If you will allow us, we would love nothing more than to help you create the most beautiful day you can imagine as well as remove some of the stress that goes with planning your perfect day.

Hi there, let me tell you a little something about myself. I am a northern California native, but I’ve lived up and down California and couldn’t be happier to call northern California home. I am married currently 21 years and have 3 kids.
I discovered my passion for event planning many, many years ago, but didn’t make it a career until 7 years ago. It’s funny how the universe works in that I had no idea that all the professional and personal paths I’ve taken in my life were leading me to this career all along.
With every couple I work with I fall in love even more with what I do. While it’s not always easy, I truly believe it’s a privilege to play the role that I do in the planning and executing of the most important day of your lives. It is not something I take lightly and am always so grateful when couples choose me to go along on this special journey with them.
When you work with me you’re working with your new friend. Your new friend that never gets sick of hearing about your wedding planning and all the silly little details and family drama that is sure to make anyone crazy. I am that person that loves all of the ridiculous stuff that goes into such an important day.
Some fun facts about me: I am an adventurer through and through. I love traveling and exploring new places, meeting new people and exposing myself to all that life has to offer. Maybe that’s why I chose event planning, or rather, why event planning chose me. It’s never a dull moment in this world of being a Planner. Sometimes it’s a smooth path and sometimes it’s a bumpy road, but it is ALWAY an adventure and that’s why I love it!

Jaylynn discovered her passion for planning early on in life. She found in her teens that she had the creativity and determination to make any event, large or small, a special one. Her desire to help people goes well beyond the scope of planning special events, she is also working hard to become a nurse. In her spare time she enjoys a very active lifestyle, working out, hiking, and running half marathons.
We couldn’t be happier to have her on the team. She brings the biggest smile with her everywhere she goes and is always willing to do whatever it takes to make the clients happy.

Rachael DeBord
Wedding & Event planner
Rachael was born and raised in Redding, CA and has been planning events since she was a kid. Working for an event planner in college is what really turned interest in this field into a passion. Event planning is a creative outlet for her and brining joy to clients is what makes it truly rewarding. Rachael is amazing at seeing the clients vision and executing all the little details to make is a perfect celebration.
When Rachael is not working with the Carats and Confetti team she is spending time with her wonderful husband and daughter, baking, or going on a Target run!
